The most occupied room in the house. Entered through either of two entrances, each with its massive 10 feet high wood curved top castle style Gothic double doors. The room is done completely in select Cherry wood stained to a warm light brown color. The ceiling has intricate coffered sections providing an intimate setting for reading, visiting or watching television. Beautifully antiqued stenciled walls offset the entertainment center and the conference area ceiling. Around the perimeter is 45 feet of Cherry cabinetry including an entertainment area large enough to install a 65” television, auxiliary equipment and remote speakers all hidden behind large pocket-doors? Other areas provide enough cabinetry to display your special items, store others and display all your books behind German glass front doors. A built in writing desk allows you to take phone calls or write letters in a quaint out of the way area. The balance of the lower wall area is covered with a paneled Cherry wainscot to complete the wood surround.

The room is visually sectioned off into two different areas. Off to the side is a “conference” or study area close to the books and directly in front of an intimate carved wood and slate fireplace. From this location you can see outside to the city views or watch television from the main section of the library. This area can be used for television watching, extra dinning, gaming or paper work. A cozy chair also makes it an ideal warming spot in front of the fireplace. In the main area (20 by 25 feet) there is space for any seating arrangement, tables, chairs or furniture arrangement.
This room is also designed to be the main media or theater room. In the coffered ceiling is a framed and wired space to house a 10-foot projection screen. In the center of the coffered ceiling is the support and wiring for any type of television projector made. Likewise, the center of the floor has a conduct under the floor should there be a floor mounted projection system. Above the glass windows and doors is a deep wood valance sized and wired for electric shades to darken the room for movie viewing. All these items have controls terminating into an equipment room located behind Cherry doors in the corner of the room. This room was designed especially for this equipment as well as all the other electronics of the home. It has a dedicated electrical circuit panel, increased air conditioning, a ceiling access panel and a through the wall access conduit to the outside. The phone, audio, video, security and theater provisions are all located in this room.
